"After doing some homework looking for a suitable builder to undertake our proposed house alterations in 2009 we settled on using Mike Holloway Builders he was very approachable and was more than happy to help with the alterations on our tight budget.

Mike initially gave us a quote and then we were able to do some things ourselves like painting and decorating and he helped us get discounts where possible to keep our costs down. We lived in the house for as long as possible as we were adding on extra family room and a kitchen remodel but basically left the rest of the house untouched. Mike was very good at keeping us in touch with what was coming next and not interfering with the day to day living of our household as much as possible. If Mike says he will get back to you he will which I really appreciated.

The workmanship was of a high standard and Mike really understood that we didn’t want the house to look like it had been added onto and used lots of tricks of the trade to help with the overall finished look. He has a very good friendly team of builders and they were good at keeping the building site tidy after the day’s work. It turned out to be a very good experience and we are more than happy with our new additions and its made a big difference to our family life. I am more than happy to recommended Mike Holloway Builders to anyone and will use them again if needed in the future."

There were problems encountered in the rebuild which were easily handled by Mike and his team. "Early 2010 plans were finalized at Zip Plumbing & Bathroom Supplies to undertake a major renovation of our retail bathroom showroom. We decided that the best time to do this was winter 2010 as this is normally a quieter time for visitors to our showroom. I decided to ask Mike Holloway to be the major contractor for this project. Our requirements were that we minimized the interruption to both business and to the four Zip Showroom Staff; that the project would be completed within a tight timeframe (ten weeks); that we kept within our budget; and that the quality of workmanship was always at a high standard befitting the quality image we wanted our showroom to convey.

Alterations usually present challenges which can’t be foreseen looking at plans and don’t become obvious until walls are dismantled.

We had some of those but Mike has the ability to present solutions so the project continued without serious interruption or cost blow out.

The project was completed on time, on budget, and with minimal disruption to the business and to the staff.
